Disney Showed Dying STAR WARS Fan Early Cut of THE FORCE AWAKENS
Disney continues to make dreams come true. Earlier this week we learned about hardcore Star Wars fan Daniel Fleetwood, who was diagnosed with cancer and isn’t expected to make it to the December 17th release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. In an interview, Daniel shared his enthusiasm about the film and said, "judging by how progressive the disease has gotten in the past two months, I really don’t think that I’ll be able to make it.”
A social media campaign was launched for the 32-year-old by his wife Ashley and the hashtag #ForceForDaniel spread across social media like wildfire. Mark Hamill, John Boyega, and several other people supported Daniel and spread the word.
It’s with a happy heart that I report that Disney, Lucasfilm and director J.J. Abrams granted Daniel his wish, and he has already seen an early cut of the film! Ashley gave the following update on her Facebook page:
How awesome is that?! Hamill also expressed his happiness and tweeted the following message:
I just read this and am elated for Daniel & his family! Thanks to the powers-that-be for making his dream come true. https://t.co/ImiAdyBxf8

It is truly heartwarming that people will have gone out of their way to make something like this a reality. My faith in humanity has been strengthened, and I love to see the passion of the fans help another passionate fan get his wish.
