DISTRICT 9 is The Latest Film To Get The 8-Bit Cinema Treatment

Neill Blomkamp's District 9 is his first and, so far, best film. It's the one that put him on the map, the one we saw without expectation, the one that showed real promise in the realm of science fiction. Unfortunately, his other two movies have been mostly disappointing, and it seems like he really needs to find a great writer to collaborate with because his visual style is awesome, but his stories seem to be lacking lately. Perhaps his new Alien film will be the one to get him back on track, but in the meantime, the team at Cinefix is looking back at his South African-set directorial debut and immortalizing the movie in 8-bit video game form.
