DOCTOR STRANGE Director Scott Derrickson to Helm a Bermuda Triangle Film That Sam Raimi Was Once Circling

It didn’t take long for Doctor Strange director Scott Derrickson to pick up a new film project since stepping away from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. He is now set to direct a film titled Bermuda, which is a Bermuda Triangle thriller that has been in development for a long time at Skydance.

It’s funny because this is the same project that Sam Raimi was once looking to direct. So in a way, Raimi and Derrickson kinda swapped film projects. Ryan Reynolds was attached to the project when Raimi was on board, but according to Variety, Chris Evans is now in talks to star in the project.

Derrickson will direct the film from a script that he will rewrite with C. Robert Cargill, who also worked with him on Doctor Strange. Plot details are being kept under wraps, but the report says that the story “will be set in the mysterious patch of the Caribbean where planes and ships have gone missing over the years.” Obviously.

This should be a great project for Derrickson to take on! I’ve enjoyed his films, and I’m glad that he’s got another project in the works!
