DUNGEONS & TOMBS Is a Fantastic Addition to A YOUNG ADVENTURER'S GUIDE Series
The lovely people at Penguin Random House were kind enough to send me a copy of Dungeons & Tombs, and it is fantastic. It is part of the Young Adventurer’s Guide series from Dungeons & Dragons to help get younger readers interested in the game, and this particular book walks readers through some of the potential settings, villains, and monsters as well as a nifty set of guidelines to consider when creating your very own dungeon.
I recently started running a Curse of Strahd game, so I was really interested in seeing what this book had to say about Strahd and Ravenloft and I think it was an excellent, condensed guide. It covers very little, but that’s fine as these are not designed to be in-depth in any way. This is simply a tool to introduce readers to different aspects of the game.
Where Dungeons & Tombs really shines is the back half. This is the half that proposes guidelines for building your very own dungeons and many things to consider. For instance, where is the dungeon and who built it? Also, don’t make dungeons symmetrical. These are good tips for everyone to keep in mind as they create their adventures and this is what makes the book such a standout addition to the series.
Dungeons & Tombs is available now wherever you like to purchase books like Amazon.
