Dwayne Johnson Will Voice Character in Disney’s MOANA

Dwayne Johnson has confirmed that he has joined the voice cast of Disney’s upcoming animated adventure film Moana. The movie is being directed by Ron Clements and John Musker (The Little Mermaid, The Princess and the Frog, Aladdin). According to a Tweet Johnson sent out, he will provide the voice to a character named Maui.

“Excited to star as "Maui" in Disney's next big animated musical, MOANA. Incredible story!

The film is set in the South Pacific, and it follows “the title navigator as she sets sail in search of a fabled island. During her journey she teams up with the legendary demi-god Maui to traverse the open ocean on a voyage where they will encounter enormous sea creatures, breathtaking underworlds and ancient folklore.”

This seems like the perfect Disney film and character for for Johnson to take on. I’m sure he’ll be great! Moana is set to be released on November 23rd, 2016. I've included a piece of fan art created by Deviant Art user HapaAve.
