Early Test Footage for Disney's ROGER RABBIT

A newly released video features footage and concept art for Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, and it features very different designs from what audiences saw in the movie that was released in 1988. The stuff you are about to see in the video below was created between 1981 and 1983. One of the other interesting things about this video is that Roger was voiced by Paul Reubens a.k.a. Pee-wee Herman.

This is a longer version of some footage that we shared with our readers a couple of years. This video is eight minutes long and features more concept art and full animation sequences.

Before Richard Williams directed the animation for Who Framed Roger Rabbit, there was an earlier attempt at Disney, from 1981 to 1983, to adapt Gary K. Wolf's book "Who Censored Roger Rabbit." John Culhane takes us behind the scenes of the unmade Darrell Van Citters version of Who Framed Roger Rabbit, 1983.
