Emily VanCamp Will Be Back as Agent 13 in CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR

Emily VanCamp is set to reprise her role as Agent 13 a.k.a. Sharon Carter in Captain America: Civil War. The character played a small role in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. She was assigned by S.H.I.E.L.D. to watch over Steve Rogers as his next door neighbor under the alias Kate.

In the comic books, Sharon in the niece of Peggy Carter, who was Steve Rogers' love interest in Captain America: The First Avenger. There’s no information on what her involvement will be in Civil War or how big of a part she’ll play in it, but I imagine they are going to expand it a bit more. It hasn’t been established that she’s Sharon Carter in the MCU yet, so that will most likely happen, and maybe there will be a spark between her and Rogers.

The story follows the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron and sees the governments of the world pass an act that is designed to regulate all superhuman activity. This causes the Avengers to split into two factions, some siding with Iron Man and others side with Captain America. This leads to an epic confrontation between the former allies.

VanCamp joins Chris Evans, Anthony Mackie, Robert Downey Jr., Martin Freeman, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Daniel Brühl, Frank Grillo, and Chadwick Boseman.

Captain America: Civil War is being directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, and it opens on May 6th, 2016. VanCamp has starred in series such as Everwood and Revenge, which was just cancelled.
