Enchanting Teaser Trailer for Disney’s Live-Action BEAUTY AND THE BEAST

Disney has released the first teaser trailer for their live-action feature film adaptation of Beauty and the Beast, and judging from this teaser, it looks like it will be a wonderfully perfect adaptation of their classic animated film. I absolutely love the look and tone of this film. The creative team developing it seems to want to stay true to everything that we all loved about the original. The teaser is designed to really bring out the nostalgia feelings in fans.

The film was directed by Bill Condon (Dream Girls, Mr. Holmes), and it has an impressive all-star cast that includes Emma Watson as Belle, Luke Evans as Gaston, Ewan McGregor as Lumiere, Dan Stevens as the Beast, Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts, Stanley Tucci as Cadenza, Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, Kevin Kline as Maurice, Josh Gad as Le Fou, and more.

You all know the story, after all, the tale is as old as time. But in case you need a refresher this is the synopsis that was released.

Disney’s Beauty and the Beast is a live-action re-telling of the studio’s animated classic which refashions the classic characters from the tale as old as time for a contemporary audience, staying true to the original music while updating the score with several new songs. “Beauty and the Beast” is the fantastic journey of Belle, a bright, beautiful and independent young woman who is taken prisoner by a beast in his castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle’s enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the Beast’s hideous exterior and realize the kind heart and soul of the true Prince within.

With the success of films such as Cinderella and The Jungle Book, Disney seems be on a solid roll with these adaptations, and this looks like it's going to be another hit. Disney will release Beauty and the Beast on March 17th, 2017.
