Excellent Trailer For Netflix's New Drug Cartel Series NARCOS
After a brief stumble with the mostly worthless RoboCop remake in 2014, it looks like director Jose Padilha (Elite Squad, Elite Squad 2) is returning to subject matter he's familiar with: extortion, corruption, violence, and drugs. He's directing Narcos, Netflix's new series that follows the rise of the Medellin drug cartel that stretched from Colombia to the United States and changed the drug culture in the U.S. forever.
Wagner Moura plays the iconic Pablo Escobar, and this brand new trailer makes the series look like one of Netflix's most promising properties yet. This looks stylish as hell, and I can't wait to check it out when it becomes available on August 28th.
The Medellin cartel - the most violent, ruthless and wealthy criminal organization in the history of modern crime. And the one man who lorded over them all... Pablo Escobar.
NARCOS is the true story of the U.S. and Colombian efforts to battle the Medellin cartel during the cocaine-fueled drug wars of the 1980's. Multi-layered and multi-faceted, NARCOS depicts a brutal world where lines are blurred and little is black and white.
