FANTASTIC FOUR's The Thing Revealed on International Billboard
Well, this is an odd choice. Fantastic Four fans have been wanting to get a good look at director Josh Trank's vision of The Thing for quite some time, and though some photos of the costume leaked out early (and were quickly removed), we still haven't really seen him in action and the movie comes out in just a few months. We didn't even get a great look at Ben Grimm in his rock form in the teaser trailer.
I was guessing that 20th Century Fox was waiting until the full trailer to unveil more of The Thing's new look, but apparently the marketing department decided to put him somewhere else first: an international billboard. Um...OK. That doesn't really make a whole lot of sense to me, but I'm also not in Fox's marketing department, so I'm sure they have their reasons, weird as they may be. Instagram user "albertoheineken26" saw the billboard and snapped a photo of him standing in front of it:
So...there you have it: the dramatic reveal of The Thing. On a billboard. Not exactly an awe-inspiring reveal or anything, but from what we can see, he looks pretty cool. Like I said, I'm sure we'll get a chance to see him in action when the next trailer comes out, which should probably sometime very soon. Fantastic Four hits theaters on August 7th, 2015.
