FAST 8 Set Video Features the Whole Crew Getting Back Together and a Crazy Photo of Hobbs
Universal Pictures has released an official video from the set of Fast 8, and it features the whole crew back together again. It shows director F. Gary Gray working with his talented team of actors that consists of Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Dwayne Johnson, Nathalie Emmanuel, Kurt Russell, and Scott Eastwood. Even Jason Statham is there. It seems like they are shooting in some kind of government agency headquarters. I’ve also posted a couple of other videos from the production of the film below.
Then above you'll find a new photo featuring Johnson's new look as Hobbs in the film, and he looks like he belongs in Sons of Anarchy. He posted the image on Instagram with the following comments:
“When you strip a man of all he has. All that's important to him. You force him to return to his roots.. and sometimes that's a very dangerous and twisted place.
“If I was going to return for another FAST & FURIOUS I wanted to come in and disrupt the franchise in a cool way that got fans fired up and their blood pumping to see a new version of Hobbs and his ‘Daddy's gotta go to work’ mentality and set the table in a cool way for where the character goes in the future.
“Maybe it's a spinoff movie. Maybe it's more #FF movies. Or hell maybe Hobbs just gets on his motorcycle and rides off into the sunset never to be seen again. Either way, I've had a solid first week of shooting, good to be back with the ohana, good to work again w/ my bud and director F. Gary Gray and our home studio of UNIVERSAL, as always have been the best partners to me and my #SevenBucksProds team. Most importantly... you guys around the world will really dig this new version of the role, 'cause as we always say, disrupters dent the universe.”
The movie also stars Charlize Theron, Jordana Brewster, Elsa Pataky, and Lucas Black. Fast 8 is set to be released on April 14th, 2017, and that will be followed by two more sequels are set for release on April 19th, 2019 and April 2nd, 2021. Production on Fast 8 will continue to shoot in New York, Atlanta, Georgia and Iceland.
