First INTERSTELLAR Clip - "Useless Machines"

Paramount Pictures has released the first clip from Christopher Nolan's sci-fi thriller Interstellar. The clip isn't from the space exploration aspect of the film, but it does give us a better idea of the kind of world that Nolan has created for the story, which is a world where the Apollo space missions are believed to have been faked to help bankrupt the Soviet Union. Matthew McConaughey isn't too happy about that being taught in schools.

When it comes to the moon landings being faked, Time put it perfectly when they said:

"Of all of the conspiracy loonies currently at large — birthers, truthers and grassy-knollers, we’re looking at you — there are none quite as febrile as the folks who claim the Apollo moon landings were faked. The theory (with apologies to the word “theory”) presumes that all of the 400,000 people directly or indirectly involved in the moon landings schemed in perfect secrecy to pull off the greatest scam in history, and have maintained their silence for more than two generations since the lunar program ended in 1972. It would be easier just to go to the flipping moon."

Interstellar chronicles "the adventures of a group of explorers who make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage." It comes out on November 5th! To read some of the first reviews of the highly anticipated film, click here. Thanks to Time for the clip.
