First JUMANJI Sequel Photo Features Dwayne Johnson, Karen Gillan, Jack Black, and Kevin Hart
A lot of people seem to be excited about the upcoming Jumanji sequel starring Dwayne Johnson. The film is currently in production, and today Kevin Hart released the first officially photo from the film. It features himself with Johnson, Karen Gillan, and Jack Black, and as you can see they all look great and ready to embark on a dangerous adventure.
A couple weeks ago some concept art was released, giving us an early glimpse at what his character would look like. At the time it was rumored that Johnson's character Dr. Bravestone was the avatar of the person playing the game. I assume if that's true, then all of the characters we see in this new photo are avatars of the players (most likely kids) that are playing the game.
Johnson has previously talked about how the film will honor the memory of Robin Williams:
"An important thing that I want to be honest and bring up is Robin Williams. The love and respect I have for this man is boundless. You have my word, we will honor his name and the character of “Alan Parrish” will stand alone and be forever immortalized in the world of JUMANJI in an earnest and cool way. I have an idea of what to do and I think his family will be proud."
Jake Kasdan (Bad Teacher, Sex Tape) is directing the film from a script written by High Fidelity and Con Air scribe Scott Rosenberg. I'm a huge fan of the first movie, and I hope this sequel ends up being good!
