First Photo of Patrick Stewart as Skinhead Leader in GREEN ROOM
It's really hard for me to imagine the lovable Patrick Stewart as a cold-hearted scumbag skinhead leader, but here he is, and he looks mean as hell.
Stewart's character is named Darcy Banker, and he's described as "the unflinching and industrial leader of a ferocious white supremacist fiefdom based in the Pacific Northwest." The story follows "a young punk rock band who find themselves trapped in a secluded venue after stumbling upon a horrific act of violence and fighting for their lives against a gang of white power skinheads intent on eliminating all witnesses."
Stewart is joined by Anton Yelchin, Imogen Poots, and Alia Shawkat in the feature, which is being directed by Jeremy Saulnier. Saulnier is a talented up-and-coming director who made the insanely intense movie Blue Ruin, which you have to see if you haven't already.
The movie will be released sometime in 2015, and I'll be looking forward to it. The image above was released on Twitter by Stewart himself.
