Go Behind the Scenes of the Shot-For-Shot RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK Remake

We've written a lot about the shot-for-shot remake of Raiders of the Lost Ark made by a group of kids in the 1980s, and there's even an upcoming documentary called Raiders! playing at this year's SXSW Film Festival that tells the story in great detail. But Vice has sort of beat that doc to the punch a little bit, sitting down with Chris Strompolos and Eric Zala for a new web series called American Obsessions. The new series will look at a different obsession for each episode, and in their first episode, they talk with the filmmakers about the long road to completing their fan film, and we get to see a bunch of the footage they shot, storyboards they made, and props they used when pulling off this amazing feat.

Even if you've read a ton of articles about this project over the years like I have (this piece by Amy Nicholson is the best out there), this is still a great thing to watch because it gives more behind-the-scenes footage than I've ever seen of this adaptation. You also get to see a brief shot from the airplane scene that they just recently filmed, so that was pretty cool, too. Check it out.
