Google Doubled the Number of Launch Titles Before Today's Launch of Stadia

Google Stadia launches today and I’m really interested to see how successful it is. I really like the premise of being able to game without requiring any unique/powerful hardware, but the fact that I have to pay for a subscription, plus the cost of the game is a bit of a turnoff. That being said, in the days leading up to the launch of Stadia, Google decided to announce that at launch today, it would have double the initial roster. That’s right, after this announcement, the game roster jumped from 11 titles to 22. This is sure to greatly benefit them as more games mean more potential users. The full launch roster is as follows:

  • Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

  • Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle

  • Destiny 2: The Collection (available with Stadia Pro)

  • Farming Simulator 2019

  • Final Fantasy XV

  • Football Manager 2020

  • Grid 2019

  • Gylt

  • Just Dance 2020

  • Kine

  • Metro Exodus

  • Mortal Kombat 11

  • NBA 2K20

  • Rage 2

  • Rise of the Tomb Raider

  • Red Dead Redemption 2

  • Samurai Shodown (available with Stadia Pro)

  • Shadow of the Tomb Raider

  • Thumper

  • Tomb Raider 2013

  • Trials Rising

  • Wolfenstein: Youngblood

In addition, Stadia is touting the following four games as ones that will become available before the end of 2019:

  • Borderlands 3

  • Darksiders Genesis

  • Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2

  • Ghost Recon: Breakpoint

Are you going to be trying out Stadia? If so, what games are you most excited for?
