GOTHAM TV Series Finds Its Young Bruce Wayne
Warner Bros. has found the pre-teen Bruce Wayne for their new Batman inspired series, Gotham. The role went to David Mazouz from the TV series Touch, which starred Kiefer Sutherland.
Variety gave a description of the character, saying that he's a "boy who leans on his butler Alfred and Commissioner James Gordon for guidance after his wealthy parents are murdered." Just a reminder, Mazouz will not become Batman in the series. That's something that won't happen until later down the line.
They've also cast Camren Bicondova as Selina Kyle, described as "a teenage orphan and street thief who is suspicious and wholly unpredictable." As you all know, she eventually grows up to be Catwoman.
The series focuses on a young Jim Gordon and his adventures in law enforcement as he witnesses the rise of Gotham's villains whom Batman will later encounter.
The series stars Ben McKenzie as Gordon, Donal Logue as Detective Harvey Bullock, Zabryna Guevara as Captain Essen, Erin Richards as Barbara Kean, Sean Pertwee as Alfred Pennyworth, Robin Lord Taylor as Oswald Cobblepot a.k.a the Penguin, and Jada Pinkett Smith as Fish Mooney.
