GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 Set Video Features Some Excitement

A video has surfaced from the set of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 that really makes me wonder what is going to happen in this story. The movie is currently shooting in Atlanta, Georgia, and the scene you are about to watch was shot in the neighboring town of Cartersville.

What makes this so interesting is that whatever scene this entails takes place on Earth in a modern day setting, so it’s not a flashback. The scene features a crowd of people screaming in fear as they run down the street, and behind them we see several cars being thrown into the air, which I imagine means they are probably being shot at by some kind of spacecraft.

Yesterday some photos from this set leaked that showed posters of Nathan Fillion as a movie star named Simon Williams, who in the Marvel Comics universe is Wonder Man. You can read more about that here. I don’t know if we’ll see any more of him than what we see in those posters, but I hope we do. I hope this character is actually eventually realized in the MCU because that would be awesome.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will be released on May 5th, 2017, and I can’t wait to see how this all fits into the story that director James Gunn is going to tell us this time.
