GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 Will Expand on Gamora and Nebula’s Relationship
We’ve still got a couple years before Marvel fans will be sucked back into the cosmic world of Guardians of the Galaxy. Not only are the fans excited about it, though, so are the cast that will be a part of it.
During an interview with CBR, Karen Gillan talks about the film and says that she thinks it will expand on the relationship between Nebula and Gamora. She’s already read the script, so she kinda knows what she’s talking about. Upon receiving the script she said:
“I took it in my hands -- because they don't send it over email; they deliver it by hand -- and it was so cool. I was so excited, and I ran upstairs, and I put on the soundtrack, the Awesome Mixtape 2, and then got into it. It's so good.”
When asked about the plot of the film, she didn't reveal much, but she did say:
"I think what I'm really excited about is delving into the sisterly relationship between Gamora and Nebula. I think that we're going to see a little bit more of that, and it's going to be a bit more fleshed out."
I think a lot of us fans expected to see that relationship fleshed out in the sequel, so it’s good to know that it’s something that we’ll see. Gamora and Nebula are two of my favorite characters, and it will be good to see them back together working out their issues… in battle.
Talking about James Gunn’s enthusiasm for the project, she said,
“‘Infectious’ is the word. James Gunn is the most enthusiastic. He's on this natural high the whole time. And it just makes us so excited about it. He just knows the world inside out. He's so passionate about it. The whole thing has come from him. It's totally his vision. It hasn't been compromised at all. It's completely down to him. So that's the most exciting thing.”
There’s no doubt in my mind that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is going to be just as amazing as the first one. It’s set to hit theaters on May 5th, 2017.
