Hear How The Band Earth, Wind, and Fire Inspired The T-Rex Scene From JURASSIC PARK

Even if you haven't seen Jurassic Park all the way through, everyone is familiar with the T-Rex scene. The jeep is dark, it's raining, and amongst the rumbling, you hear a cup of water is vibrating. It's such a small thing but it's become an iconic piece of filmmaking and now we know the story as to how it came to be thanks to Great Big Story

Supposedly, the idea came to Steven Spielberg as he was blasting Earth, Wind, and Fire in his car and noticed that his rearview mirror was vibrating. He then immediately called the effects designers and said he needed that and a cup of water to vibrate in the car as the T-Rex approached!

Steven Spielberg's 1993 film "Jurassic Park" was a landmark cinematic achievement due in large part to its groundbreaking special effects. But it wasn't the appearance of the raptors, the brontosaurus or the T. Rex that caused Spielberg and his crew to the lose sleep.
