HIDDEN FIGURES Trailer: Taraji P. Henson Crunches Numbers For NASA
20th Century Fox has revealed the first trailer for Hidden Figures, a new movie starring Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer, and Janelle Monae as three African-American women who helped write equations for NASA that allowed John Glenn to be the first American to orbit the Earth. It has a really cool pro-women vibe and shines a light on some of the people who were responsible for our space program's successes but have never received proper credit in the public eye. The film hits theaters on January 13, 2017.
Hidden Figures is the incredible untold story of Katherine G. Johnson (Taraji P. Henson), Dorothy Vaughan (Octavia Spencer) and Mary Jackson (Janelle Monáe)—brilliant African-American women working at NASA, who served as the brains behind one of the greatest operations in history: the launch of astronaut John Glenn into orbit, a stunning achievement that restored the nation’s confidence, turned around the Space Race, and galvanized the world. The visionary trio crossed all gender and race lines to inspire generations to dream big.
