Holy Crap, This TRIPLE 9 Trailer is Amazing
Get a load of this cast: Chiwetel Ejiofor, Norman Reedus, Aaron Paul, Anthony Mackie, Casey Affleck, Woody Harrelson, Kate Winslet, Gal Gadot, and Clifton Collins Jr. Every single one of those actors are great, and they all star in Triple 9, an upcoming action thriller from director John Hillcoat (Lawless, The Road, The Proposition). I've heard Winslet talk about her character here in some interviews, and the woman she's playing is ruthless and should be a complete departure from anything we've seen her do thus far in her career. Here's a statement that's sure to earn me some haters in the comments: as it stands right now, I think Triple 9 is my most anticipated movie of 2016. Yes, even above Batman v Superman, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Captain America: Civil War, Suicide Squad, Doctor Strange, Assassin's Creed, and X-Men: Apocalypse. You may think that's crazy, but that tells you how much I truly love this cast and think this could go down as one of the best thrillers of the decade.

When a crew of dirty cops is blackmailed by the Russian mob to execute a virtually impossible heist, they realize the only way to pull it off is to manufacture a 999, police code for “officer down”. The chaos that ensues when a police officer is shot in the line of duty is just the diversion they’ll need to do the job, but whether they have the will to kill one of their own is an entirely different matter. Their plan is turned upside down when the unsuspecting rookie they set up to die foils the attack, triggering a breakneck, action packed finale tangled with double-crosses, greed and revenge.
