HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON 2 - Making-Of Documentary
I'm still a little steamed about the lack of an Oscar nomination for The LEGO Movie. I mean, seriously: how does that movie not only NOT win an Oscar, but fail to even get nominated? It was the best animated film of last year to come out of the U.S. by a long shot. OK, rant over. Anyway, How To Train Your Dragon 2 was also pretty solid, and since that one was nominated for an Academy Award, it's in the middle of campaigning for Oscar voters. The film is available on Blu-ray and DVD right now, and DreamWorks has released one of its special features online for all to see: an hour-long making-of documentary called Where No One Goes.
You'll have to click here to watch it, but for those who love seeing Hiccup and Toothless soar through the skies, this is a cool way to see how it all comes together. Director Dean DuBlois has some cool video footage from ridiculously early on in the development process, and you can see everything from discussions about the emotions of the story to the visual effects process. Check it out and let us know what you think.
