Huge SPOILER for STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS Regarding a Main Character

Fan Art by Darth Temoc

Well, you clicked on a link with the words "HUGE SPOILER" in the title, so you know what you are getting yourself into. Before I go any further, I'll give you you one more chance to turn back. It involves the death of a major character in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and how that character dies.

Still here? Ok. None of the following information has been confirmed by the studio, but it comes from the site Making Star Wars, which has offered a ridiculous amount of information regarding the highly anticipated film. They say that this intel comes from their most "trusted source," and then they say the scene that has been revealed has been verified "as having been shot at Pinewood."

This is something that I've seen fans speculate about, but now it looks it it will actually happen. I have to admit, I wasn't really surprised by this news, but here we go....

"Han Solo is killed off in the film, and here are the details:

  • This sequence takes place on the ramparts of The Evil Castle.
  • Han Solo is hiding.
  • He decides to reveal himself to Kylo Renn [sic].
  • Finn, Rey, Chewbacca and BB-8 stop in their tracks.
  • They watch as Han Solo confronts Kylo Ren. Kylo Rnn [sic] silences the conversation forever.
  • Chewbacca lets out of a barrage of angry roars and laser blasts.
  • Kylo Ren flees the scene.
  • Explosions.
  • Stormtroopers file in and Finn and Rey are forced to flee.
  • More explosions.
  • BB-8 and Chewbacca flee to the Falcon.
  • Han Solo is never in a scene after this. Those are the facts."

The scene seems to kind of mirror the death of Obi-Wan Kenobi in A New Hope. It looks like Harrison Ford finally got what he wanted. If you recall, Ford famously wanted George Lucas to kill off Solo in Return of the Jedi saying, "That would have given the whole film a bottom," but that obviously didn't happen.

The site goes on to say that the scene in the teaser trailer in which we see of Kylo Ren in the forrest actually takes place shortly after murdering Han Solo.

I'm sad to learn that Han Solo really does die, but like I said earlier, I kind of suspected that it was going to happen.
