Hulu Reveals New Details About Stephen King and J.J. Abrams' CASTLE ROCK and Orders 10 Episodes

Castle Rock has shot to the top of my list of most anticipated TV projects. Last week the J.J. Abrams and Stephen King series was announced and a teaser trailer was released, which you can watch here.

I was intrigued by the concept and what the teaser had to offer. Now today, Hulu has announced that they've ordered 10 episodes of the series that will weave together several characters and themes from the classic stories that King has told over the years involving his Castle Rock setting.

The also released some additional information on the series, describing it as "a psychological-horror series set in the Stephen King multiverse."

Castle Rock combines the mythological scale and intimate character storytelling of King’s best-loved works, weaving an epic saga of darkness and light, played out on a few square miles of Maine woodland. Castle Rock is an original suspense/thriller — a reimagining that explores the themes and worlds uniting the entire King canon, while brushing up against some of his most iconic and beloved stories.

After seeing what Abrams and King did with the Hulu series 11.22.63, I have no doubt that Castle Rock is going to be full of epic storytelling. In case you're wondering how the whole Stephen King multiverse works, here's a handy flow chart that connects all the dots for you that we posted a few years ago.

It'll be interesting to see how this anthology series comes together and how all of the stories and characters will end up connecting with each other. I'm so pumped up for this series!!!
