Idris Elba Says Heimdall and Loki Will Appear in AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON
It really hasn't been made clear whether or not Idris Elba's Heimdall or Tom Hiddleston's Loki will be in Joss Whedon's Avengers: Age of Ultron. I have been hoping that they will be, and according to Elba, it sounds like they are. During a recent interview with The Telegraph, Elba revealed,
“I’m in Avengers, and I’m doing a scene with Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston, and they’re like, [whispers] – ‘Aren’t you [meant to be] in Ibiza?’"
That's great to hear! There's no word on how big a part they will play in the story, but it's good know that there will at least be one scene with the characters. Now, if Thor and Loki have a scene together, I guess that means there's a chance that Thor may have learned the fake death trickery Loki pulled off in Thor: The Dark World. I'm sure whatever the scene involves, it will be pivotal to the future Marvel films. We learned earlier today that Loki also had a big role to play in Thor: Ragnarok and the two Avengers: Infinity Wars movies.
In Age of Ultron, "Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure."
Age of Ultron also stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Jackson, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, James Spader, Cobie Smulders, Thomas Kretschmann, Paul Bettany, and Stellan Skarsgard. The movie will be released on May 1st, 2015.
