Improv Troupe Takes Center Stage in Trailer For Mike Birbiglia's New Comedy DON'T THINK TWICE

Comedian Mike Birbiglia made his directorial debut in 2012 with the well-received Sleepwalk With Me, and now he's back with his second directorial effort Don't Think Twice, a comedy about an improv troupe that has to weather some internal troubles when one of their members gets to audition for a Saturday Night Live-style show. It features a stellar cast including Keegan-Michael Key, Gillian Jacobs, Kate Micucci, Chris Gethard, Tami Sagher, and Birbiglia himself (who you may recognize from Orange is the New Black if you aren't familiar with his stand-up or other comedy work), and this looks like catnip for comedy nerds. I'm definitely interested.

This movie is playing at the Los Angeles Film Festival in a couple of weeks, so hopefully I'll be able to check it out there and review it soon after. It opens in theaters on July 22, 2016.
