Insane Bike Parkour Stunts

I know this may not be really a geek thing, but I’m really into biking, and I love the indie rock band Band of Horses. This video combines those into an incredibly insane collection of parkour-style bike stunts featuring Danny MacAskill. This guy seriously pulls off some jaw-dropping moves. I can’t believe what this guy is capable of.

Filmed over the period of a few months in and around Edinburgh by Dave Sowerby, this video of Inspired Bicycles team rider Danny MacAskill features probably the best collection of street/street trials riding ever seen. There's some huge riding, but also some of the most technically difficult and imaginative lines you will ever see. Without a doubt, this video pushes the envelope of what is perceived as possible on a trials bike.

The video, which is a few years old, includes a song called “The Funeral” from Band of Horses, and I thought it fit really well with it. There's also a more recent video of MacAskill performing a loop stunt. I hope you enjoy this!

Cortana, the most personal digital assistant, and Danny MacAskill, world-renowned trials cyclist, have successfully completed one of the world's largest loop-the-loop challenges ever cycled...and it's on water! Danny MacAskill rode round a monumental 5-metre loop, illuminating the Cortana signature halo in front of one of London's most iconic landmarks in the process, all on the River Thames.
