Is Felicity Jones Playing Boba Fett's Daughter in STAR WARS: ROGUE ONE?
An interesting rumor has surfaced regarding Felicity Jones' role in Gareth Edwards' Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One. Apparently, she might be playing the daughter of Boba Fett. The news came from El Mayimbe from Heroic Hollywood during an interview with Meet The Movie Press.
He gave no additional information on the matter. Boba Fett just doesn't seem like the kind of guy that would want or have kids. But maybe sometime during his time traveling through the galaxy hunting people down, he had an oops moment.
If that's the case, he either doesn't know he has a kid, or he just never sees her because he's too busy doing other people's dirty work. Regardless, it would be interesting if the bounty hunter did have a daughter.
Rogue One is set before the events of A New Hope and revolves around an elite team of Rebels who are sent on a mission to steal the plans for the first Death Star. It was reported in the past that she would be playing a Rebel soldier, and many fans have assumed she would be leading that group.
If she really is Boba Fett's daughter, maybe she didn't follow in her dad's footsteps. Just because she's his daughter doesn't mean she's automatically a villain. But, what if she is a villain working for the Empire, and she is infiltrating the Rebels to help take them down in the long run?
I personally don't think the news is legit because the timeframe doesn't add up. Remember, A New Hope is set about 20 years after Revenge of the Sith, when Boba Fett is just a kid. I don't see how in the world he could have a daughter in her twenties by that time unless he matured insanely fast.
However, there is a chance that El Mayimbe got some of the details mixed up. Maybe, just maybe she is actually playing a live-action version of Sabine from Star Wars Rebels. She wears a similar style Mandaolorian armor that Boba Fett did. I'm throwing that speculation out there just for the hell of it.
