Is This Black Panther's Story Arc in CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR?
Some new information has surfaced regarding Black Panther's potential story arc in Captain America: Civil War. If you don't want to know what that is, then I suggest you don't read beyond this point as there are SPOILERS ahead.
The following information comes from Umberto Gonzalez and his new publication Heroic Hollywood. He used to be a journalist at Latino-Review, but is in the process of transitioning to his new site.
This is what he had to say regarding Chadwick Boseman's Black Panther in Captain America: Civil War:
In #CaptainAmerica #CivilWar, the #BlackPanther is on the hunt for #TheWinterSoldier. Can you guess why?
So now not only are Captain America (Chris Evans) and Falcon (Anthony Mackie) looking for Bucky Barnes a.k.a. The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), so is T’Challa. Fan speculation suggests that the reason Black Panther is looking for Barnes is because there's a possibility that maybe he assassinated his father, King T’Chaka, in the MCU. After all, The Winter Solider has left a trail of blood over the years. It makes sense that T'Chaka would be one of his targets.
That's just one of several reasons that Black Panther could be after Barnes. In the comics King T’Chaka is murdered by Klaw, who was introduced to audiences in Avengers: Age of Ultron, played by Andy Serkis. My question is, why would they take away one of Klaw's biggest story arcs?
I think that there may be a little more to why Black Panther is hunting down Barnes, and we'll eventually find out what that is. In the meantime, do you have any ideas on why Panther wants The Winter Soldier?
