James Gunn Casts SONS OF ANARCHY Star Tommy Flanagan in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2
James Gunn has added an awesome new cast member to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. That actor is Sons of Anarchy's Tommy Flanagan. The film is currently shooting in Atlanta at Pinewood Studios, and the Scottish actor joins other newcomers to the franchise that include Kurt Russell, Elizabeth Debicki, Pom Klementieff, and Chris Sullivan.
Flanagan is an awesome actor, and I’ve enjoyed seeing him in movies and TV shows over the years. According to Heroic Hollywood, the actor is going to be playing the right-hand man of Yondu Udonta, who is the leader of The Ravagers. He's a perfect fit for the role of one of those dangerous space pirate characters.
Their inside source also gave a bit of info on the plot of the film in which the Ravagers “have a bounty out on Rocket Raccoon which causes conflict within the group.” They don’t say why there’s a bounty out for him or what it is for, but it definitely will make for an interesting dynamic in the story.
We’ll see how it all plays out when Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 is released on May 5th, 2017.
