For action fans, John Wick was one of the biggest surprises of 2014. Keanu Reeves kicked some serious ass, dropping bad guys with headshots left and right and participating in beautifully choreographed action sequences that were basically an action movie fan's dream come true. Not only that, but co-directors Chad Stehelski and David Leitch put the time and effort into building a compelling universe around their lead character, with an intriguing mythology of gangsters, criminals, a mysterious hotel where violence is off limits, and a cleaning crew that wipes everything up in exchange for a special type of currency.
