John Williams to Score STAR WARS: EPISODE VII Trailer in November
It looks like Lucasfilm and director J.J. Abrams are in the process of getting a trailer ready for Star Wars: Episode VII. John Williams Fan Network is reporting that film composer John Williams will be doing an original musical score for the trailer, and that he will be recording it on November 15th. This is what the site is claiming:
Following the rumor that the first teaser trailer for Star Wars: Episode VII will include original music written by John Williams, one of our sources claims that the Maestro will indeed record the new music next month in Los Angeles:
A reliable source just said JW received a trailer from JJ Abrams on Monday, Oct 20. JW has already written new Star Wars music to accompany this trailer. This new trailer music will feature new music [sic] and will be recorded on November 15 in LA with full orchestra. Still determining if the score will be recorded in London due to advanced age of composer/conductor. 14 hour flight to LA not too kind on 82 year old [sic]. This is all a secret and this message will be deleted shortly
We've heard rumors that the first trailer would be released later this year. It is possible. Two of the biggest most anticipated films that Disney is releasing this year is Big Hero 6, which comes out on November 7th, but that's prior to the date that Willaims is supposed to be recording the music, so we can probably shouldn't expect the trailer to be attached to that release. The other big movie that Disney is releasing this year is Into the Woods. That movie comes out on December 25th, so it's more likely the trailer would be attached to that if the trailer is going to be released this year.
Of course, Disney could attach it to another big movie that doesn't come from the studio, but I just don't see the Mouse House doing that. They are kind of stingy in that way. Either way, they are going to have a fully completed trailer ready to go in the near future, and it's only a matter of time before fans are treated to it.
The poster above is fan art, but I couldn't find the artist who created it. I came across it on Pinterest though.
