Jonah Hex is Set to Appear in LEGENDS OF TOMORROW
DC Comics' old west anti-hero bounty hunter Jonah Hex is set to appear on DC's new CW series Legends of Tomorrow. The new series deals with time travel, so they can do something like this! In an interview with EW, executive producer Marc Guggenheim said:
“Ever since we decided that Legends would involve time travel, we were eager to do a story set in the Old West. But if you’re going to do a story set in the DC Universe version of the Old West, you simply must include Jonah Hex in it. We’re thrilled about bringing another well known, beloved DC character to television.”
The character was previously adapted for the big screen and was played by Josh Brolin. The movie sucked, but I did like Brolin in the role. Don't expect him to reprise his role, though. Both Adam Baldwin and Thomas Jane provided the voice of the character in separate animated projects, but it seems unlikely they'd show up on this show, either.
There's no information on who will portray the character for the CW series, but I hope they cast someone that reeks of gritty badassery. Jonah Hex will first appear in episode 11, and there's a possibility that he will be a recurring character.
