JURASSIC WORLD Edges Out THE AVENGERS as Third Highest-Grossing Film of All Time

This is more of a heads-up to those of you who like to drop statistics in your discussions with friends about movies, but regardless: Variety reports that Jurassic World has beaten The Avengers to become the third biggest movie ever (not taking inflation into account). I think it's safe to say that no one expected this level of success for the movie, but I suppose it shows that you can't underestimate the population's love of dinosaurs and Chris Pratt. That's a powerful combination, and it's one I'm sure we'll be seeing more of in the years to come in at least two more sequels.

And we already know Marvel is cool with this whole thing.
