Kathleen Kennedy Clarifies That Han Solo's Name Is Actually Han Solo

Kathleen Kennedy is doing some cleanup work following the conclusion of Star Wars Celebration. Among some other confusing statements, Kennedy cleared up some remarks that led some fans to believe that Disney CEO Bob Iger was implying Han Solo's real name isn't Han Solo. Kennedy responded to the statement (via Slashfilm) saying she's not sure what Iger meant by the statement...

“I’m not sure that’s entirely what Bob [Iger] meant. There’s more to Han Solo’s name, but it’s not that it’s not his name. It’s obviously his name. It will always be his name.”

Could you imagine the fan outcry if all the sudden we learned that Han Solo was just a front and our beloved smuggler was once known under a different name? I guess ultimately it would depend on how it was handled, but we all know how fans of Star Wars react when the past is changed. The new Han Solo film is due out May 25th, 2018.
