Keanu Reeves Delights Fans With BILL & TED 3 Story Details
I’m assuming everyone saw John Wick: Chapter 2 over the weekend. If you didn’t, what are you waiting for?! Go see it now. Lick your palms and tell your boss you have to go home, then hit up a daytime screening right now!
For those of you who did the right thing and saw the John Wick sequel the minute it opened, here’s a special treat: Keanu Reeves went on The Graham Norton Show to promote the film and dropped a little update on the long-simmering Bill & Ted 3, and even delighted fans by dropping his famous catchphrase. Asked about the sequel, Reeves said:
"The writers have a story, and we’re trying to make it."
When Norton asked where the characters are now, Reeves replied,
"Bill and Ted are in their 50s, and uh, that just makes me laugh right there."
Then he continued:
“There’s a cool story. Basically, they’re supposed to write a song to save the world, and they haven’t done that yet. So the pressure of having to save the world — their marriages are falling apart, their kids are kind of mad at them. But then someone comes from the future and tells them if they don’t write the song it’s just not the world, it’s the universe. So they have to save the universe because time is breaking apart. So then elements of the past are coming in...”
Then Whoopi Goldberg interrupted and asked if she could be in the movie, because probably she is sick of the other ladies on The View.
You can watch the full exchange below, but I am warning you: Do not get sucked down the Graham Norton YouTube clip rabbit hole, because that will be hours of your day gone and your boss really wants to know when you’re going to get him that report.
John Wick: Chapter 2 is in theaters now, and Bill & Ted 3 will hit theaters hopefully someday.
