Let This Space Movie Supercut Give You Hope For The Future

I already shared a supercut of movie characters giving each other hugs today, but here's a different one that should give you another tinge of hope during these uncertain times. I don't mean to be a downer, but I think the prevailing theory is that we're already past the point of no return for saving this planet. Sadly, I think humanity had our chance to save Earth and we pretty much blew it. (If you know of any proof that this isn't the case and I'm freaking out for no reason, please point me to it in the comments.) So while we can and desperately need to still do our part to attempt to extend our time on Earth for as long as possible for the wellbeing of future generations, it's becoming increasingly apparent to me that our future will be have to be held in the stars.

My hope is that this supercut from Fandor (via Sploid) of movie characters venturing through space inspires some of you to create and invente great things that will be essential to our ability to leave this planet one day and create a home for our species elsewhere in the galaxy.
