Logitech G705 Wireless Gaming Mouse Is A Good Mid Price Gaming Mouse

Logitech recently sent me their G705 gaming mouse to review and I have really enjoyed using it. It’s an aesthetically pleasing mouse that works well that so far I have only had one issue with.

The mouse itself is well designed for a variety of hand sizes. It was made to be inclusive of smaller hands. I have average size hands with long fingers (my hand measures about 7.5 inches from the top of my middle finger to the bottom of my palm/wrist) and I still found it comfortable to use. The indent on the side makes for a nice resting spot for my thumb and while I would like a little bit more bulk in the body of the mouse, it is still comfortable for me to use. I can definitely see how someone with smaller hands would really enjoy the design though. With my longer fingers I either need to position the mouse farther up my hand so it is no longer completely in my palm or I need to bend my fingers slightly to get them in a better spot. Like I said, for me this isn’t a problem but if that’s not something you want to do then a different mouse would be better for you. I’ve included pictures to show you what exactly I mean so you can make a better decision about it.

The mouse itself works really well. The scrolling wheel is very responsive and comes with a nice quiet click that isn’t disruptive. Using the mouse is nice, it is very smooth and reacts well even to slower movements. There is a button on the mouse that will allow you to change its speed and you can download the software to more finely tune it, but I have found so far I haven’t needed that. I like having that option right on the mouse in case I need to change it quickly, or to at least use it as a good starting point to more precisely change it to my preference.

My only problem so far with the mouse has been it was a bit difficult to get the bluetooth to connect. It does come with a lightspeed receiver so you could bypass this altogether, but if you don’t have an extra usb port to spare you’ll need to connect with bluetooth. It’s not impossible, I did eventually get it to work, I’m just not sure if it was my computer being the problem or if the mouse just needed to be plugged into a power source that was causing me issues. Just know that you may need to do some troubleshooting.

Overall, I think this mouse is well made. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone with large hands for sure, but if you have small to average size hands then this could be a great mouse for you. It is responsive and precise and so far has served me well. I would give it an 8/10. You can grab a Logitech G705 wireless gaming mouse now, as of writing this it is $79.99 but is normally $99.99.
