Lord & Miller Say a JUMP STREET/MEN IN BLACK Crossover is Still Possible

One of the pieces of news that leaked out during the Sony hack was that the studio was considering a crossover between their Jump Street franchise and Men in Black, outfitting Schmidt and Jenko as new MIB agents. It's an idea that's just crazy enough to work, as long as it's in the hands of Jump Street writer/directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller. Things have quieted down a little, but in a new interview with MTV, the directors say that option is still on the table.

Lord: “Nothing’s changed. It’s still a crazy idea, and we only do things that seem like they’re going to be terrible. We’re really focusing on what’s a great story for Schmidt and Jenko and how to tell the next chapter in their lives. And perhaps use creatures from another world at the same time.”
Miller: "We’re developing a lot of things, you know. And they may or may not all happen, but that’s how the business works.”

After completely railing against the concept of sequels in 22 Jump Street (especially during those fantastic end credits), it seems like Lord and Miller will have to think pretty far outside of the box to creatively justify a 23 Jump Street. Maybe this crossover is exactly what they need to take things to another level.
