Mark Millar’s Time-Travel Comic CHRONONAUTS to Get Film Adaptation

Universal Pictures has picked up the rights to the time-travel adventure comic book series Chrononauts, which comes from Mark Millar (Kick-Ass, Wanted, Kingsman: The Secret Service) and Sean Gordon Murphy (Interstellar comic).

Chrononauts was just released by Image Comics this week, and the story follows a scientific duo who become the first to travel back in time. Here’s the official description that includes more details:

Corbin Quinn and Danny Reilly are two buddies who love to have fun. They’re also scientific geniuses. When their research leads them to a time-traveling adventure, will they use their knowledge for the good of all mankind? Or use the space-time continuum for their own ends? This is the story of man’s first, televised steps through the time-stream and everything going wrong in the process.

Millar is a great comic writer that has told some really awesome stories in his career, and I've enjoyed reading his work. Some of the stuff he has done includes Old Man Logan, War Heroes, Wanted, and Marvel’s Civil War, just to name a few. Then all of the comics that have been adapted into films seemed to translate really well for the big screen.

I’m curious to see how this Chrononauts projects develops.
