Mark Ruffalo Responds to Jason Statham's Insulting Marvel Comments

Remember that time when Jason Statham insulted the action in Marvel films?

"I could take my grandma and put her in a cape, and then put her in a greenscreen, and then have stunt doubles come in and do all the action. Anybody can do it. I mean, they’re relying on stunt doubles, and greenscreen, and $200 million budget, it’s all CGI-created. So to me, that is not authentic. I’m inspired by old, real star guys that can really do it."

Well, Mark Ruffalo doesn't agree, and in a recent interview with Vulture, he was asked about what Statham said, and this was his amusing response:

“I mean, do you really need to ask that question? It's Jason Statham. He's like a featherweight. He's got nothing on me! Clearly.”

Ruffalo's got a fun sense of humor. Statham could have joined the Marvel cinematic universe as Bullseye in Daredevil Season 2, but he apparently dropped out of negotiations after the news leaked. There's no doubt that he would have brought even more badassery to the MCU.

It's a shame he won't be involved. Now there's no chance of us ever seeing Ruffalo's Hulk fight Statham's Bullseye.
