Martin Scorsese: The Art of Silence - Video Essay

Martin Scorsese is hands down one of the greatest directors that has ever lived. I think I've enjoyed every movie that he's ever done. But, of course, I like some more than others. He has a brilliant and unmistakable directing style. Today we have a video essay that focuses on his use of silence. The video comes from Tony Zhou, and this is the description that came with the video:

"Even though Martin Scorsese is famous for his use of music, one of his best traits is his deliberate and powerful use of silence. Take a glimpse at fifty years of this simple technique from one of cinema's masters. For educational purposes only."

Sit back, relax, and learn something about Scorsese's storytelling for the next six-minutes.
