Marvel Announces All-Female AVENGERS Team Called A-FORCE

Marvel Comics has announced a new all-female Avengers superhero team that will be known as A-Force, and it has an impressive roster of heroes. The team is led by She-Hulk, and other members include Dazzler, Medusa, Nico Minoru, Jean Grey, Vampira, Elektra, and a new "cosmically powered" hero named Singularity.

A-Force is being co-written by G. Willow Wilson (Ms. Marvel) and Marguerite Bennett (Angela), with art by Jorge Molina. Wilson had this to say about the comic in a statement:

“We've purposefully assembled a team composed of very different characters — from disparate parts of the Marvel U, with very different power sets, identities and ideologies. They'll all have to come together to answer some big questions: What would you sacrifice to succeed? What is being a hero worth?”

This is the first all-female Avengers team, but it's not the first comic to feature an all-female roster. Marvel's female fanbase has been bowing up, so it makes sense that the publisher would bring together a team of heroines to help save the world from evil doers.
