Rachel Brosnahan Responds to SUPERMAN: LEGACY Lois Lane Casting Rumors

Ever since the announcement that DC’s James Gunn was planning to take on Superman: Legacy, the casting rumors have been swirling. Fans are giving their opinions on who would best fit the bill to take on Clark Kent/Superman, and who they’d like to see play his love interest, reporter Lois Lane.

One actress who fans seem to agree on is The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel star Rachel Brosnahan. While Gunn is remaining tight-lipped on who is auditioning and who is in the running, Brosnahan herself was asked about the prospect of her taking on the iconic role recently when she appeared on The View, stating:

"Take everything you read on the internet with a grain of salt is my first piece of advice. Look, it would be extraordinary; I grew up watching Lois Lane, this incredibly talented journalist, [who is] far from a damsel in distress and I would jump at the chance if it arose."

I think this is actually perfect casting! I would love to see her get the part. It sounds to me like she’s somewhere in the process of auditioning or getting the role, and not able to talk about it. I think she would have said if she really hadn’t anything about it. So this is a good sign, in my opinion.

What do you think of the prospect of Rachel Brosnahan in the role of Lois Lane?
