Mel Gibson Blasts His Way Through Trailer For BLOOD FATHER
There's a large discussion to be had about whether an actor's off-screen behavior should affect the way you view their films, but ultimately it comes down to drawing your own personal line in the sand. Whether or not Mel Gibson is on the wrong side of that line is up to you, and we can spend all day arguing about whether or not he deserves any more chances to make movies after the stuff he's said and done over the years. Someone gave him a chance, and the trailer for his new film Blood Father is out now. In it, he tries to protect his estranged daughter (Erin Moriarty from The Kings of Summer) from what appears to be a deranged gang. Gibson's off-screen antics aside, this looks like it could be a decent little thriller.
Blood Father hits Australian cinemas on August 25th, and though Lionsgate is handling distribution in the U.S., the movie doesn't have a release date scheduled for this side of the pond yet. Check out the trailer below (NSFW language):
