Michael Keaton Once Again Attached To Play The Villain in SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING

Not long ago, Michael Keaton was offered the role of a villain in Marvel and Sony's Spider-Man: Homecoming, but nothing ended up happening and both parties moved on. But now Keaton is actually in legitimate discussions to suit up as a Spidey baddie, and this time THR reports that he's in final negotiations. It looks like this is going to happen after all.

Official details about the movie are being kept under wraps, but the villain is rumored to be The Vulture, aka Adrian Toomes. Keaton seems like a great fit for that character, so my fingers are crossed he'll be rocking a green wingsuit in this movie. (The actor has poked fun at his past iconic superhero role before, so don't be surprised if there's a meta joke or two about that in the script.)

Supposed plot details leaked online yesterday, but there's no way to validate them at this stage, so I wouldn't be surprised if they're fabricated. Either way, I'm glad Keaton is going to be a part of this movie after all, joining Tom Holland, Marisa Tomei, Robert Downey Jr., Laura Harrier, Zendaya, and Tony RevoloriSpider-Man: Homecoming arrives in theaters on July 7, 2017.
