New DESIERTO Trailer: Gael García Bernal is Hunted By Jeffrey Dean Morgan

It's the battle of three-named leading men in Desierto, when a psychotic vigilante hunter played Jeffrey Dean Morgan attempts to kill a group of Mexican immigrants led by Gael Garcia Bernal. This is the second feature film directed by Jonas Cuaron, who co-wrote Gravity with his father Alfonso Cuaron (who's producing this movie).

STX Entertainment has just released a new trailer for the film, which is essentially a truncated version of the longer, more in-depth trailer they put out nearly a year ago. But to be fair, I always complain about trailers spoiling big moments of the movie, and this one doesn't really do as much of that because its length doesn't allow for it; if this is the first you're hearing about this film and this is the only trailer you watch, I'd recommend going to see the movie without watching any more trailers (if that's possible).

Desierto hits theaters on October 14, 2016.

What begins as a hopeful journey to seek a better life becomes a harrowing and primal fight for survival when a deranged, rifle-toting vigilante chases a group of unarmed men and women through the treacherous U.S.-Mexican border. In the harsh, unforgiving desert terrain, the odds are stacked firmly against them as they continuously discover there’s nowhere to hide from the unrelenting, merciless killer.

From Jonás Cuarón and Alfonso Cuarón, the acclaimed filmmakers of GRAVITY, comes a unique, modern vision of terror. DESIERTO is a visceral, heart-pounding suspense-thriller packed with tension and suspense from start to finish, starring Gael García Bernal (THE MOTORCYCLE DIARIES and Y TU MAMÀ TAMBIÉN) and Jeffrey Dean Morgan (WATCHMEN).
