New Details Teased About What The End of AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Will Bring

We've been getting a lot of information today from Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige about certain things involving the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We now have a few more details that you might be interesting in knowing! It involves Phase 3 of their plan, which ends with the two Avengers: Infinity War films.

/Film was at the Avengers: Age of Ultron Blu-ray/DVD event, and they filmed a Q&A session that included Feige and Ultron producer Jeremy Latchem. A few of the more interesting details that came out of this Q&A included information on the Infinity Gauntlet and what the studio's plans are leading up to Infinity War - Part 2.

When asked about the when we might see the other two Infinity Stones introduced in the MCU, Feige said:

"You will see the other two, sometime in phase three for sure. There’s a gauntlet that needs to be filled."

That led to a question regarding the Gauntlet. Feige previously revealed that there is more than one Gauntlet in the MCU. When asked if the one Thanos has is the same one that we saw in Odin's chamber, he said:

"I may as well answer it because you asked it. It's not the same one."

Latcham then broke in and asked, "Which one do you think is the real one?" At that point, Feige seemed to give the producer kind of an angry look. I guess that might have given a little too much information than Feige was comfortable with. The conversation later turned to their Phase 3 plans, and when asked if the story has been planned out through Infinity War, to which Feige said:

"Yes, in broad strokes. Sometimes in super specific things, but for the most part in broad strokes that are broad enough and loose enough that if through the development of four or five movies before we get to the culmination, as you say, we still have room to sway, and to go, and to surprise ourselves in places that we end up."

Latcham expanded on that and explained how the two-part Infinity War story arc is basically going to bring an end to the Avengers that we've come to know and obviously set the stage for Phase 4:

"Well I think it definitely is an end to some version of the team that we’ve come to know as The Avengers. And I don’t know exactly what's going to happen yet in that film, but I think we start to hint at it at the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron that the team will be evolving. But the ideas and ideals that make The Avengers still exist, and I think that's part of what makes this culmination will be: we’re seeing this version of the team doing this thing to save this universe, this galaxy, however you want to put it, and we’ll see where this goes. So it's not the end of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it will be the end of part of it for sure. We’re still trying to sort out which parts. (laughs)"

We really have no idea what's actually in store for us in Phase 3, but it sure is going to be fun to see how it all plays out, and what happens to everything we've come to know and love in the MCU over the years. Make sure to check out the Q&A panel below for even more information.
