New POINT BREAK Featurette Highlights The World's Fiercest Waves

Like it or not, a remake of Point Break is coming this Christmas. I'm a huge fan of Kathryn Bigelow's 1991 original, and I'm extremely apprehensive about this new movie, which is really leaning hard into the extreme sports angle. But there's still going to be surfing in this new film, and as a new featurette shows, things got extremely dangerous while the production was filming among the world's fiercest waves.

In theaters December 25! http://www.pointbreakmovie.com https://facebook.com/pointbreakmovie In Alcon Entertainment's fast-paced, high-adrenaline action thriller "Point Break," a young FBI agent, Johnny Utah (Luke Bracey), infiltrates a cunning team of thrill-seeking elite athletes - led by the charismatic Bodhi (Edgar Ramirez). The athletes are suspected of carrying out a spate of crimes in extremely unusual ways.

All of those stunts are admittedly impressive, but none of it matters if we don't care about the characters, and that's the element that remains to be seen with this remake.

Point Break stars Édgar Ramírez as Bodhi, Luke Bracey as Johnny Utah, and Ray Winstone, Teresa Palmer, and Delroy Lindo. Ericson Core directs a script written by Kurt Wimmer, and the film arrives in theaters on December 25th.
